Starting Your Production Company

Chris Grubisa is the President and Creative Director for Chrilleks Productions. Chris first started actively filming at the age of eight on his dad’s old chunky handycam and hasn’t put a camera down ever since. His excitement for sports especially skateboarding and his dedication to filming has only strengthenedHe graduated with High Honours from the Media Arts Program at Sheridan College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning specializing in Cinematography and Editing. Right after graduating, Chris’ talents and ability to learn quickly were immediately noticed and was offered two jobs, one as a Camera Prep Technician for a Toronto Rental House and second as a Camera Assistant for a Local Toronto Production Company. Chris split his time between both jobs learning the ins and outs of the latest gear and working on big budget commercials. His camera knowledge, set smarts, love for action sport and ability to multitask have moulded him into a highly desirable action cinematographer and creative director. He is the vision behind Chrilleks Productions, 2016 Marketing Magazine's 30 Under 30, an Ambassador and Pro Team member for Polar Pro and after winning the highest honor at the 37th Telly Awards Chris is now apart of the Silver Telly Council, a prestigious judging panel of accomplished industry professionals.

  1. Interview a random friend. Try and find a specific story that you'd like to tell about them.
  2. Record both sides of the conversation. You can also use one camera and have both the interviewer & interviewee in the same shot.
